When discussing a previous event with someone who now considers themselves a different gender, do you refer to them as their current gender or the one they were at that time?

2021.10.21 16:07 PlsDontNerfThis When discussing a previous event with someone who now considers themselves a different gender, do you refer to them as their current gender or the one they were at that time?

As an example, Demi Lovato now considers themselves "they/them."
If we were watching a previous video from X Factor, would we refer to Demi as "she" or "they" when discussing an event on the show?

2021.10.21 16:07 Desmesura A couple of things about vi(1)

Again, I ask here since it's almost impossible to find content online about vi instead of vim.
1. Incomplete Manual Page? Am I missing something or is OpenBSD's ex, vi, view / vi(1) manual page incomplete? I'm specifically thinking about ranges for ex commands. It only mentions that you can use ranges when using some ex commands. It says nothing about how to construct ranges. The ed(1) manual (program from which ex comes from, IIRC) describes how ranges work in it, but it doesn't seem to bethe exactly the same for ex. E.g. in ed ; equals .,$ but in vi it doesn't seem to work.
2. Unable to Set Key Bindings in Insert Mode? The manual describes how to use :map to map a key to a command for normal mode. But nowhere in it is it described how to do so for insert mode. It is probably therefore not possible, but I was still curious.

Anyways, these issues are not important at all. I just was curious and was wondering if I was missing something. The docs are still top-notch, for all the utilities that I've been reading about since I've been using OpenBSD.
Thanks in advance!

2021.10.21 16:07 MiniJunkie Ashe (again) - what am I missing?

I’m trying to make her work but feel so outclassed by other ADCs. Even with her Q it’s takes so long to kill even a cannon minion. I get that she has some utility but let’s face it - kills are a factor too? I’ll hit a champ with the frost shot, and start firing stacked Q into them - and it’s like they just walk away “nbd”!
I’m behind on gold despite trying to last hit properly. I can’t seem to 1v1 anyone.
I’m building essence reaver into solari and infinity edge.

I used to main Varus, but wanted to try other champs. I really like Ashe conceptually but I feel so weak with her.

2021.10.21 16:07 MrManAlba [EVENT] 1956 Election

June, 1956

The 1956 half-election has been fought ultimately on one issue; whether or not the governing Liberal-Democratic coalition of Prime Minister Kishi would gain the prerequisite seats to enact changes to the Japanese constitution. Article 96 of the Japanese Constitution lays out the circumstances under which the constitution can be amended; with a 2/3rds majority vote of both houses of the Diet, a simple-majority referendum is then put to the public.
The Liberal-Democratic coalition enters the election with 110 seats, 61 of those seats are not up for re-election; this leaves the Liberal/Democratic coalition needing to increase its seats from 49, to 105. A tall order, even with the continuing schism in the Japanese Socialist Party.
Election Results
Nobosuke Kishi falls short of his goal of a supermajority that will allow him to alter the Japanese constitution, but the Liberal-Democratic coalition came extremely close. Of the seats up for election, the LDC increased their share from 49, to 73 seats, while the non-partisan Ryokufūkai and the still-divided Japanese Socialists saw their vote-share plummet. The only other party to seriously increase its vote share was the Communist Party, which returned to the House of Councillors, having previously lost its seats in the 1953 election.
Party Seats Before Seats After Change
Liberal-Democratic Coalition Ticket 110 134 + 24
Left-Socialist 40 31 - 9
Right-Socialist 26 24 - 2
Ryokufūkai 34 32 - 2
Japanese Communist Party 0 8 + 8
Independents and Small Parties 36 21 - 15
*Although lacking enough seats through just the Democratic Party-Liberal Party coalition ticket to affect desired changes to the constitution, Kishi attempted to court agreement from the non-partisan Ryokufūkai and other small parties and independents to secure the required 2/3rds majority to initiate a popular referendum on changing Article 9. However, the Ryokufūka were unwilling to enter into negotiations with the LDC prior to any bill being brought to the Diet. Meanwhile Kishi, aware that any failure to secure such a vote would end his government, was unwilling to bring any bill to parliament that could not already be assured of passing. For now, any decision to alter Article 9 will have to wait, until the 1959 election at least.

2021.10.21 16:07 CapableRunts What’s up with emissions testing stations being slammed?

Every day for the past 3 days, I periodically check the website for emissions tests, and it’s over an hour at all 6 Davidson locations. It’s never taken over 10 mins for me in the last 10 years. Does anyone know why this is?

2021.10.21 16:07 NaviVal What is 2+2(8/2)?

I am a senior in high school, and noticed a spark in debate across the room. They were arguing this equation. I took a look at it, and immediately saw that- it must be 6.
if you distribute 2 to the parentheses, it would be 2 times 8, then 2 times 2. So that would end up being 2+(16/4) which would equal 2+(4) which would then eventually equal 6. So I looked up and said, "the answer is six."
They erupted, saying that the answer was 10. I understand how they got this, they divided 8/2 then added that to 4, which came from 2+2. So i put it in two different calculators, and got 10 on both of them. Why is this?

2021.10.21 16:07 The_king_of_stocks Recap of the day for the PROG community 🐸🐸🐸

Today we experienced a red day after our spike of 38% 3 days ago. This dip was caused almost in its totality by the companies that are shorting the stock. Our community is strong and the APES 🦍 still didnt sell. I should also mention that the company shorting PROG🐸 isn’t in a great position because of its use of 99.8% of shorts and of the high interest ratio for the boroughs. The SI also is very high 68% since they shorted it a lot these past three days🐸🐸. The pressure for them to cover is growing and they are just delaying an even bigger squeeze. Moreover, we weren’t the only stock to dip a bit today. GME, AMC, ATER, FAMI, SDC and ANY all were red. But guess what, this market manipulation still has the APES holding their shares 🦍🦍🦍🚀🚀🚀. The 🐳 that invested millions in PROG are also holding since they realise that this dip is absolutely no big deal and nothing to worry about. What we have to worry about is buying and holding. The key words are patience, confidence, mental strength and seeing the bigger picture 🐸🐸🐸 This also goes for the ATER gang that also experienced a small dip today🐊 So happy holding PROG gang 🐸🐸and I’ll see you on the moon 🚀🚀🚀🚀

2021.10.21 16:07 saf3r2 How bad is Gen1+?

I was looking into gen1 because I currently have digital which you can't walk around with. I saw this unit and seemed to have a lot of neat features (Auto shut off, white phosphor, longer than digital batter life etc.)and the best over all gen1 unit the only one I think that competes is the Armasight core. From what I have seen Gen1+ and 2+ are not that different as long as you use IR or a full moon. This is the price point I am at roughly and understand this is not tactical high speed gear it's just for hunting and walking around at night for fun. Any thoughts on this unit or different affordable Gen 1 recommendations?

2021.10.21 16:07 jburns00013 Looking for a little advice for next steps

I am currently employed doing insurance sales the last 3 years. Within 2 years I was promoted to a Sr. Sales role at 60k base with capped commissions which I am maxing out. My past work experience is in healthcare and management and have been very successful in those positions as well with customer service and business growth.
I am at a point where I am ready to take a next step to make more money that is not capped and open to all avenues and looking for company names where you may have worked that you really enjoyed the culture and work environment. Located in the Midwest and open to hybrid, remote, travel.
Any advice helps!
